Pacquiao Suing Mayweather? a Defamation Issue or Just for Show?
Manny Pacquiao Doesn't Want to Take USADA Testing, Sues Mayweather for "Untrue Accusations"
Mayweather wants to use the US Anti-Doping Agency to test for performance enhancing treatments. His opponent agrees to urinalysis and a simple blood test which is used in Nevada regulations, but doesn't want to use the USADA.
Using the USADA guidelines will test for human growth hormones. Pac Man doesn't like this idea because he fears that drawing blood so close to a match will weaken him.
The whole thing has escalated, and it is said that Pacquiao is suing Mayweather for defamation because of accusations that aren't true.
Is the suit legitimate, or do you think all this is just to pump up the fight? After all, these things will earn both fighters more money the more hype surrounds the whole incident. The fight will cost $60 to $100 on pay-per-view, not to mention all the money people will spend to travel to Las Vegas to see it live.
There's also conflicting views on the whole situation. Some think that Mayweather is pushing the issue because he knows that his opponent is fearful of having his blood drawn because he fears that it will make him weak. These individuals think that the issue is just a ploy to gain a psychological advantage.
On the other hand, some think that Pacquiao is resisting the USADA testing because he has something to hide. They think that it is strange that one fighter won't do something that the other fighter is ready, willing, and able to do.
Whether or not the defamation suit takes place and whether or not the fight will occur on March 13th as planned is something that we will have to wait and see. If all of this is a publicity ploy, it is sure working! Both fighters have a loyal following and both are anxious to see their favorites in the ring fighting it out. Who would win? That would be determined only in the ring. In all actuality, an actual fight between the two would work so much better than dragging each other in to court.

Post a CommentThe reason why Tygart of USADA agreed the 18 and 19 days cut-off during Mayweather-Mosley Fight because he knows that the remaining days prior to the fight, blood test can be covered by a single test right after the fight, so much for the 14 days window agreed by Pacquiao.

Well yeah the fight is pretty close. And Mayweather is probably the biggest challenge Pacquiao will ever get, I understand Pacquiao's thoughts about the USADA testing, he needs to take precaution not to mess anything up or itll cost him the fight. I believe Mayweather himself is scared. He wouldn't want to mess up his undefeated streak right? So thats his way of taking precautions. Both fighters in my opinion are evenly matched making it tough for them. Its all in their minds.
why make all these new testing now? why won't it be sufficient to have the blood test immediately after the fight? why is urine test not enough?
It all points to Mayweather Sr.'s accusations that Pac is using PED's. There's no reason to doubt or suspect Pac of anything illegal. Why should he go through hoops and do what PBF says to prove anything if there's no reason to suspect him? Would you volunteer yourself for strip search in the airport if another passenger with no authority at all and has no shred of proof asks you to prove you're not a smuggler?
SO mayweather is saying that anyone that fought in Nevada cheats. That's basically what it means. Sugar Ray, Hearns, Tyson, Hagler, Chavez, etc. all of them probably cheated in some way or form becuase Nevada testing is not competent. Of course, Mayweather is as clean as a whistle. LOL!

So is it really that hard 2 believe that pacman has been able to slip something passed the nevada state athletic commison.. Pacman has tattoo's (which r done with a needle and fought with a busted ear drum in his last fight.. Yet is worried about givin blood.. His nutronist also said they do tests on his liver or kidneys because of all the protein he is on.. Wouldnt that require a blood test?
Floyd sign up 1 day before Hatton Pacman fight, he could have waited one day to make a decision so he can fight pacman. Now the timing caught him and so he is avoiding pacman again by creating stupid rules for himself. What a coward.
Pacman is suing because of accusations by Mayweather Sr that he uses drug. He does not need to undergo drug testing just because a crazy idiot think he has use it. By the way, if you need to change the rule then change it for everyone - not one person. Also he has passed all drug testing for all his previous fights.
I am surpirsed that pacman has gone to such lengths to avoid a blood test 48 hours before a big fight. I am also just as stunned that he would go to court over the request to submit to the drug test. Just remember James toney was caught with the enhancing drugs while under the care of freddy roach....I wouldnt be surprised if the pacman is realy manny-cheato.
Don't think Manny plays word and mind games like the Mayweather circus. He's better off suin them and then fight, JMM, Malignaggi, Mosely and then Bradley before retiring. He'll make just as much without having to 'jump hoops' for the dysfunctional Mayweathers.
