Pacquiao Vs. Mayweather: Pacquiao Agrees to Terms!
The Manny Pacquiao Vs. Floyd Mayweather Bout Appears to Be Close to Done
Following that breakthrough, Arum flew straight to the Philippines so he could meet with his star fighter, currently the number 1 pound for pound boxer in the world. Over a breakfast meeting, Pacquiao apparently was satisfied with the terms of the bout.
Could it be, a mega-fight in boxing that both stars have made extremely easy to navigate and negotiate? Anything can happen, and until the names are signed on those contracts, nothing is official. Still, this is extremely great news for boxing fans, considering the magnitude of the potential Floyd Mayweather vs.Manny Pacquiao bout.
If Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is to be finalized, it seems that a few more details have been worked out since the last news from earlier in the week. It now seems that March 13 is a near lock to be the date of the event.
Another issue that could have been a potential snag in negotiations seems cleared up as well. Apparently Pacquiao and his team are fine at fighting at the full welterweight limit of 147 lbs. This is a change in stance from Pacquiao's recent bout with Miguel Cotto.
The change in opinion could either be due to 1) the increased importance of this bout, 2) Mayweather's superior bargaining position as opposed to Cotto or 3) the fact that Mayweather is not a large welterweight, and so any weight or strength advantage would not truly be present in the bout.
One thing that remains unclear as to this point is where the fight will be held. As previously reported, Dallas, New Orleans and Las Vegas are all still in the running. If the fight lands in Vegas, a 30,000 outdoor stadium will likely be constructed to accommodate the masses.
Considering the money that the casinos are willing to put up to stage these kinds of massive matches, it seems likely that the fight ends up there. However, the allure of jamming 60,000+ people into a massive stadium for Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, as would be possible at Cowboys Stadium or The Superdome is certainly not to be overlooked.
Just a few weeks ago boxing fans were hopeful that Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather would materialize. Then more news came out and that hope turned into a cautiously optimistic approach. Now, cautious optimism is bordering on unrestrained excitement, as Pacquiao vs. Mayweather seems on the verge of being a done deal.

I dont know why mayweather keeps crying saying he's the best he hasn't fought everyone in his division once the fight happens between pacquiao and mayweather will see who is really good but my opinion pacquiao is a way better fighter then mayweather
All of you quit cryin and watch the fight of the century.
I don't really care who wins all I know is that Pacman is a awesome fighter pound for pound and Mayweather is awesome with an undefeated record. Pacman watch out for that third punch in his combinations, that's the power punch. Good luck/skill to both of you.

although I like both fighters 'coz they are very smart and magnificent fighters
in the ring. But 1 thing, I still go for packman,, cheer-up...
packman is d best boxer all over the universe...even all american boxer, mexican boxer,etc..can't beat maany packman power...bwahahaha what a loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I like both fighters they are very talented fighters. Pacquiao is somewhat a gutsy fighter and head on with good footwork while Mayweather is a very smart fighter with good defensive skills good footwork and very adaptable to any fighting situation. My question is why Pacquiao didnt agree to the blood test.
i think mayweather he got scared to fight pacman. and he only can do is just talking n talking. that all i can say
A sad but true story: Pacquiao has been pronounced the second best ever boxer in history by American people. Even if Mayweather kills Pacquiao in the worst way, he will never be close to his achievements. Mayweather avoided talented boxers meanwhile Pacquiao was chasing real challenges.
