Page View Races: Everything You Need to Know

Han Van Meegerin
Page View Races: An Introduction

I sincerely thank all of you that have participated in the current and/or past page view races.

I offer a heartfelt welcome to all those Contributors that decide to join the page view races for the first time.

For those page view racers that have decided to halt their racing, I say that I am truly sorry to see you go. I hope you that you will rejoin us in the near future. Also, we all have our priorities which change from time to time that impact the extent to which we utilize Associated Content. Therefore, the primary goals of the page view races are to promote fun and positive community spirit.

Special Requests

I can only spread the word of page view racing so far. If you feel that your participation in page view races has been enjoyable and/or beneficial, please consider publishing something to promote the races and encourage others to join. Here is an example: Pattie Byrd published AC Writers Take Your Mark, Get Set and Go in advance of this current set of page view races.

As the number of people that join the page view races increases certain issues have arisen and I am sure that will continue to arise. Therefore, I want to form a small committee to help make decisions as the need arises, during the course of the races. Please send me a message or email ASAP if this is something of interest to you

When does the current set of page view races end?

The current set of races will conclude with the page views that are earned through March 31, 2010.

When do the next set of page view races start?

The next set of page view races will begin on April 1, 2010

When do the next set of page view races end?

The next set of page view races will end on June 30, 2010

What is the purpose of the page view races?

Technically speaking, the object is to get more page views than any other contributor in your category or team in your league.

Just how competitive are the page view races?

While it is nice to win or even come in second or third place, I like to think our interaction, support and friendship with our peers outweighs the competitiveness.

How will I know which individual page view category I am in?

On April 1, 2010 I will check everyone's page views that are earned as of March 31, 2010. Based upon your number of page views, you will be placed in one of the following Categories and Leagues:

Individual Team Page View Races:

The Pace Setter-Crystal Ray

3,000,000-5,500,000

2,499,999-2,999,999

1,300,000-2,399,999

500,000-1,299,000

200,000-499,000

100,000-199,000

53,000-99,000

25,000-52,999

10,000-24,999

0-9,999

Team Page View Races:

League 1: 1,000,000+

League 2: 200,000-999,999 page views

League 3: 0-199,999

Category adjustments could be made, depending on the number of Contributors in each category.

Will I stay in the same Category or League for the entire race?

Yes. However, at the start of the next race you will "Graduate" to your new level.

How do I join or quit the races?

Just let me know via email or message, by March 29, 2010 if it all possible. That way it will be all situated for the start of the next set of races. If you are a current participant and I don't hear from you, I will assume that you want to stay in the races.
