Following that task which she seemed to take well, Pod #3 was having a breakdown and almost wanted to quit. At first she said she was done but after talking to Val she stayed in but this wouldn't be the last time we saw the female football player cry. To give them a quick pick-me-up Val gave the contestants some grilled vegetables. All were excited for the food except for Pod #8 who wouldn't even attempt to eat the veggies. In fact he somewhat found them disgusting. Val decided to give him what he asked for instead: a cigarette. Only problem is she didn't give him a match so that just angered him even more.
To gain safety from their next treatment the remaining seven had to do what seemed to be a simple task: use a keyboard to type out common Solitary quotes. Only problem was, Val switched up where the keys are so they had to first find which letter each key on the keyboard typed then remember the letters to type out the quote. All were struggling at the start but Pod #2 advanced on followed by Pod #5. Pod #5 had a good method going and quickly remembered where all the keys went while Pod #2 got stuck on the fact that Z was the space bar. Before anyone else got through half of the task Pod #5 had finished all his quotes and gained safety from another physically challenge treatment.
Before torturing them yet again Val was nice and showed those who wanted to see a picture of their family. This made most cry while Pod #3 needed the photo from home as she contemplated quitting yet again. Val seems to be going soft on the players this season yet going harder on their treatments. It's an odd mixture but I have a feeling it's also due to the craziness of the cast. After being given body paints Pod #9 decided to strip naked and paint her whole body to create a body-portrait on a piece of paper Val decided to give her. Most of them drew a shrine to Val on their bodies and it somewhat pepped up their spirit. Good going Val! Build them up only to knock them down yet again.
For their next treatment all but Pod #5 had to stretch out over a series of numbers, Twister style, to point a laser at one of their mirrors. Val would give them a number and they would have to place body parts on a a pad labeled one through nine to add up to the number Val gave them. It was very physical and it was obviously hard for both Pod #7 and Pod #8. They were the only two which had to partake in a penalty round and in the end Pod #8 couldn't handle it, sending him out of his pod and leaving everyone else to suffer as they continue to contort to impress their leader Val.
