My heart beats rapidly
Just at the thought of you
My hands clam up
Overcome with excitement
Even though obviously displaced
My icy hands
Clench the cold steel
Of my reliable scalpel
That I use
As I slash your
Ever-so-perfect skin
I grin
And laugh maniacally
Just as you did
When you treated me
In the same fashion
And my heartbeat is still rapid
And my hands are still clammy
Having completed
What I sought out to do
Whoever said love hurts
Was exactly right
In every sense of the word
Just at the thought of you
My hands clam up
Overcome with excitement
Even though obviously displaced
My icy hands
Clench the cold steel
Of my reliable scalpel
That I use
As I slash your
Ever-so-perfect skin
I grin
And laugh maniacally
Just as you did
When you treated me
In the same fashion
And my heartbeat is still rapid
And my hands are still clammy
Having completed
What I sought out to do
Whoever said love hurts
Was exactly right
In every sense of the word
