Till now,
Memories of that past stay.
When everyone was enjoying the trip to tracking,
I had to stay home, only dreaming.
When everyone was enjoying, trip to sea beeches,
I was only left to turn pages.
When they were preparing for handball,
I had to stop thinking of my goals.
When they were gearing to play handball on state and national levels,
I was busy asking my teachers, for name to be cancelled.
When all of them were partying,
I was only left with sobbing.
When they having fun at college freshers,
I was still to find that 'HAPPINESS' as a treasure.
No one knows,
What has gone inside me,
I try hard to forget everything, that has happened to be,
Still my past walks like a shadow with me.
I know life doesn't stop and is really fast,
That is why, I want to forget that painful past."

Post a CommentA good poem, perhaps self talk style. I once wrote a poem called Nowhere, to get my mood out from the bottom of the pile.
I can tell that you write from your heart. Very nice poetry
I'm sorry you had a painful past but it looks like it helps to write about it :)
So sad :)
I can relate more than most would know.
I can relate more than most would know.
I don't necessarily want to forget the dark days of my childhood, because that's what gave me the impetus, as I got older, to rise above those restraints, and also to make sure that my marriage and children's lives would be different from the circumstances under which I grew up. I kept my vow and it worked. But I don't want to forget what could have been if I hadn't been able to. In a way, to this day those memories still give me the inspiration to better not only my life, but the lives of those around me.
I can relate in many instances to this one.
;-)
Very sad...touches my heart.
