It is longing to escape;
To an island paradise;
In a land so far away;
With a stroke of your paintbrush;
You can take me there;
I close my eyes and see the sea;
And I can smell the salty air;
Paint me a picture;
A place I want to be;
Surround me in glorious color;
Help me to believe;
That love is still alive and well;
And living just beyond the sea;
That a heart won't remain broken;
And that it's okay to dream;
Color my heart;
With pastels so bright;
Sadness cannot stay here;
And all I have is light;
Paint me a picture;
That I can always keep;
I will paste it in my scrapbook;
And hold it close to me;
It can be an abstract;
Devoid of small details;
Your creations blowing to me;
And filling up my sails;
Lord, You are the master painter;
Your canvas is my heart;
Your beauty is surrounding me;
In such lovely works of art;
Paint me a picture;
Coloring my soul;
Draw upon my heart;
And make it Your own

Simply beautiful!................
Excelent, and I love the picture. I am glad you're holding onto your faith, even through this most difficult time. God bless you and Mr. Lucky.
I really don't know what to say, this just makes me feel so good to read it and to know that you wrote it and to feel God working through your words and touching people in spirit through you. People who know you and have come to care about you will also come to know God through the relationship that you share with them about God and what he has done for you. This poem is so beautiful, I can only believe that God has touched you and inspired your heart to write such a beautiful poem. One of the best, I would have to agree.
Very lovely poem. Nice art work.
What a Lovely way to tell God how much you appreciate his creation. And I love, love, love that you do you own artwork to go with your Beautiful writing. Beautiful! Loved everything about it! : )
