Palin 2012? Sarah Palin Isn't Qualified to Lead a Sled Team, Let Alone a Country!

Jeff Musall
Sarah Palin, the "Mama Grizzly" making millions saying nothing of import while keeping her base satiated, manages to always keep her name on the potentials list for a 2012 presidential run.

She is seen as more of a long shot than some of her right wing cohorts, but Palin is beloved by her fans. They demand nothing of her, hang on her every word - or facebook post - and pay out big bucks to see her, read her book, and buy memorabilia. Hers is a dream base.

Problem is, her base isn't nearly large enough to win an election. Non Palinites recoil in horror at the thought of her in the White House. The backlash against a Palin run would be huge. Such an election might set new records for anyone she ran against.

Since she first established her bona fides by letting us know she could see Russia from her house and asking "In what respect, Charlie?" Palin has given us so many gems a new term was coined, Palinisms.

One can read through some of the older Palinisms here , and more recent lovelies here.

So -Palin isn't deemed qualified to run for high office. What is she qualified to do?

She likes animal comparisons, calling herself a "Mama Grizzly" whose job it is to keep them durn liberals on the defensive. How about a different animal role for her?

She lives in Alaska, a state where dog sledding is popular and in some instances is a preferred mode of transportation. Once the speaking engagement thing winds down, she could mush on up north and train for the Iditarod.

Who knows, maybe she could be the first to win the race while leading the sled and mushing the team! On second thought, no. The dogs have too much pride....

Great headline, couldn't agree more! It's scary to see how much the American public has confused celebrity culture with political leadership. Many right wing women want to take her as their mascot, which is ultimately very very sad.

She is a loud mouthed attention seeker that all that she is. A one time beauty queen who has no qualms about using here children as pawns...The real Palin is far from what she portray. People should be aware that Hitler was a poignent speaker as well

She should have no chance, and I would say she does have no chance, except... remember Ronald Reagan? When my con law prof told us he'd won the election during a class break, we thought he was joking.

Sarah Palin, Tea Party racists, and the Republican Party all oozing right-wing religious fundamentalist drivel...with that dufus Michael Steele at the rusting helm. This progressive's dream.

Stupidity is scary, because so many voters aren't voting with a full deck, so she looks just like one of them.

I am not big on elections, and I don't vote - so my opinion really doesn't matter. However, if Palin was the lesser of two evils wouldn't people vote for her?

Love you're title :) And she doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of being the GOP candidate (I predict she'll eventually leave the GOP and create her own fringe group and run under their banner - those types are the only people who will vote for her). I have Republican friends and not ONE of them would vote for this whackjob and they're pretty indicative of most Repubs I know.

    Dear Ms. Palin
If, God forbid, you do get elected, will you promise to quite before you start?

  • Julia Bodeeb8/6/2010

Palin makes most of America ill. She's not bright and she's not ever going to be President.

    Good work, as always.
