Palin, Biden VP Debate Haiku: Palin's Momtage

Travis Lambert
In contrast to Joe Biden, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's performance in the Vice Presidential debate was little more than parroting memorized, overly-simplified talking points for expected questions. When a question was unanticipated or more specific than her campaign coaches had anticipated, she simply (and crassly) changed the subject. Beyond that, what the American voter was left with was nothing more than a montage of trite, "folksy" quips devoid of any real meaning, attempting to appeal to middle class mothers but with an insulting amount simplicity (a momtage, if you will). That said, my feelings on her performance in the Vice Presidential debate can be summed up in haiku form, thusly:

Forget the questions

Answers have been memorized

Substance-free momtage
