Palin's Failings

Charles Ray
It's the holiday season, and Sarah's still jawing,

Sounding so much like a flock of crows cawing.

There is no issue on which she has no opinion.

Her voice makes me weep like the juice from an onion.

A former failed beauty queen

She dresses like a model for L. L. Bean.

What she knows of the world could fit in a thimble.

Her ramblings make me shiver and tremble.

Our country's in need of someone who cares,

Not someone who loves killing bears.

Laugh if you will, but it's not funny at all.

Imagine her with the nuclear football.

If ever we meet, I'll be tempted to ask her,

Why she doesn't shut up and go back to Alaska.
