Palm View RV Park in Perris, California

A Hidden Special Place

Kathy Anderson
I've reviewed a few RV resorts in the past but none compare to the Palm View RV Park. This park is part of the Enjoy America RV Parks membership program. The Enjoy America parks are independently owned and operated under rules set forth by each owner. Members receive a discount at over 450 parks throughout North America. As a member this park has been approved based on it's quality and agreement to welcome you at half-price of non members. There's a very small fee for membership and it's worth every penny.

When we stayed at the Palm View RV resort, we were on our way south from Washington state to Southern California and Arizona. This park is a very rustic and rural park set in a valley. The setting is very natural with rocks, lots of desert sand and other RVers that seem to be pretty permanent.

There's two levels to this park. The lower area is where the office, store, swimming pool, clubhouse, showers and laundry facilites are located. Behind the store is a level nicely treed area with several RV sites. To one side of the store is a pond with lots of geese and ducks that seem to come and go everyday. Not the geese but the ducks. Wonderfully friendly birds that are kept in a fenced in area.

The upper level is where we stayed and where there were other less permanent rigs. It's very rural and is a very natural setting right down to the snakes! I didn't see any but they are there........someplace.

They are open year-round and reservtions are preferred but not really required. The maximum length of a rig is 40 feet. 30 amps, sewer and pull-throughs are available with wheel chair accessible sites, too. Their public rate is $30 a night but as a member you pay $16 a night.

The park address is 22200 River Road, Perris, CA 92570 If you have any questions or need to call: phone number is 951-657-7791.

We spent quite a bit of time walking around the grounds and especially playing with and feeding the geese. We enjoyed the friendly colorful residents. We spent sometime outside at night viewing the clear sky and the stars. The sun set was beautiful.

I recommend this park if you're a laid back type of person. There are no social activities of any kind on a regular basis other than the Thanksgiving dinner. It's good for a place to stay if you need a place for a night and will get going the next day. I think we spent two nights there and enjoyed every minute as it was quiet; except for the coyotes at night. We would go back for a stay but probably would choose a different park if we had a choice.

I'll be reviewing a few more as we're on a 6 week trip.
