Palmer's Cocoa Butter Cream : Product Review
If Your Pregnant and Worried About Getting Stretchmarks Then This Product is for You
I was 21 years-old and clueless about pregnancy and its effects. I was really worried about getting stretch marks when my belly started to grow, I didn't want to be self concious about my body. I went to Walgreen's and picked up the Palmer's cocoa butter cream for preventing stretch marks. I wasn't sure if this would work but I decided to give it a try. Every morning I would put some of the cream all over my belly and also at night before going to bed. I did this religiously everyday throughout my pregnancy.
Not one stretch mark was visible on my belly, I was overjoyed, obviously I got some stretch marks in other locations such as my inner thighs and some on my breasts, but this is because I did not do the same as I did with my belly. My main concern was my tummy, it's more visible to people and I would feel better if I didn't get any.
The cocoa butter worked miracles on me and I am so glad I decided to pick this particular product, I recommend it to everyone I know.
It isn't expensive, the cream goes for about $6.00 and has 4.4 oz of the cream. It has a nice smell to it and leaves your skin smooth like a baby.
The package says that main ingredients are Cocoa butter, Vitamin E, Collagen and Elastin. The last two ingredients are what really help the skin maintain its natural elasticity. Other ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cocoa Extract (Theobroma Cacao), Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Isopropyl Lanolate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Lanolin Alcohol (Lanolin), Stearic Acid, Bentonite, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao), Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Microcrystalline Wax (Cera Microcristallina), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Soluble Collagen, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Caramel, Fragrance (Parfum)
Be aware though that many women have said they have used the cocoa butter cream and still got stretch marks. Maybe for some women it does not work, it all depends on genetics. If your mom got stretch marks then you are more likely to get them. That doesn't mean you can't try ways to prevent them. My mother got stretch marks and I was determined not to get them too.
With this product I did good, and maybe you will too.
There is no guarantee as to whether you will have the same results as I did, but keep in mind that keeping your skin moisturized should help prevent very visual stretch marks. Stretch marks are caused due to stretching of dry skin therefore leaving a mark that will cover parts of your belly and other areas of your body.
Also by maintaining a healthy diet during your pregnancy is also a factor in preventing stretch marks. If you gain more than the recommended weight while you're pregnant your skin is going to stretch faster than normal and cause stretch marks. Eating for two is just a myth about pregnancy. Being healthy is the key to being beautiful.
Try this product and see if it works, it might make wonders for you too.

Post a CommentHello,
I am 6 months pregnant now and have been using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E 250ml, and lately I am using simultaneously Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula With Vitamin E 100g (the one that is in a cup-shape container and leaves the skin quite greasy).
I was wondering whether I am using the wrong type to PREVENT the stretch marks. I want to emphasize that I am not trying to make old stretch marks disappear (since I don’t have any), but I am trying to PREVENT the stretch marks of pregnancy. Do I HAVE TO use the Palmers Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks instead, in order to prevent the stretch marks? Am "I likely to have stretch marks because of the use of wrong Palmer's cream?
I am very concerned, because I am being shocked about not having any results for being using the wrong type for the prevention of stretch marks.
Please give me your opinion.
Well i have strech marks on my legs, love handles,my breasts, and near my armpits due to supposely growth i used cocoa butter and i have no strech marks on my breast no more or my love handles the one on my legs are kinda gone but the ones near my armpits havnt gone away because they are too deep..so im guessing it works depending on how the strech marks are
I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion the original and organic. Both gave me a severe rash that causes itching and bumps for two weeks after stopping the use of the product.
i used palmer and found out that at if you use it on the 11th hour of every day it works or you can do it every 16hours, DR.chris morris (doctor) said that if you use it more then 3 times a day it could increses your marks and make it worse soo you shoud just use it onces or twice a day just so that you look better and feel better now iv tryed that n it WORKED im happy and living my life nrmal agian.

I have two kids and used Palmer's cocoa butter during both of my pregnancies. I am very slim and was worried that I will have plenty of strech marks but I don't even have one strech mark. I recommended it to my sister. She also used it when she was pregnant and she has no strech marks. It really works. I started using it as soon as I found out I was pregnant and used it until I gave birth.

I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter Cream during my pregnancy, also. I had the same experience as you, it sounds like: used it reliously on belly- no stretch marks, but only once and awhile on other areas- some stretch marks there. So it really must work (for some, anyway)! Great article!
