According to the City, once summer is over, our local animal shelters are filled with unwanted cats in what they call "kitten season".

"All summer long thousands of homeless cats and kittens have been flooding the local shelters. Surrendered from financially-strapped pet owners and/or delivered to them in litters from unneutered mothers."

This has led to an over abundance of cats and kittens in local shelters, including the local Palo Alto shelter. Normally an adoption fee for cats can run around $100 due to the cost of vaccination, spaying/neutering, health tests, micro-chip implant-all in preparation for sending them to a good home.

Now these felines are available for a mere $10 each during November. To adopt a cat or kitten contact the Palo Alto Animal Shelter:
