Palo Alto Join Shaq Give Back

The United States Marine Corps' Toys for Tots has teamed up with Shaquille O'Neal, and Toys R Us to serve 14 million children this Christmas who are likely to go without holiday cheer. The Census Bureau reports that more than14 million people in the US are living in poverty, with many of them children under the age of 18. Palo Alto, as we know is no exception, even though we are surrounded by wealth, our community is no stranger to poverty.

Collection this year will be at local Toys R Us and Babies R Us Stores. The campaign will begin Sunday, October 31 through December 5.

The United States Marines will be on "Toys for Tots duty" November 5^th- 6^th at local Toys R Us/ Babies R Us stores "to generate awareness about the fundraising campaign in local markets," according to PR Newswire.

Toys are given to our local kids in need. This is truly a local program that benefits our Palo Alto children who, without your support, may go without a very Merry Christmas.
