Actress Gwyneth Paltrow lent her considerable fame and cache to a charity karaoke in London last night, she sang 'Killing Me Softly with His Song' to raise money for the Hoping Foundation Benefit which helps Palestinian children.
As the extremist Zionists in Israel and the United States take the world to the edge of world war, many Jewish people are stepping up their efforts to help innocent in Palestinians suffering under military occupation.
Paltrow is part of a growing international movement of Jews who have become dismayed and disillusioned with Israel's behaviour towards Arabs and Muslims and Zionist treatment of Palestinians; for decades most American Jews were ignorant of the atrocities being committed in their name but, since 9/11 there is a movement afoot to say to Israel and Zionists 'Not in our name'.
The moderates and peace makers of all three Abrahamic religions are still drowned out by the extremists aided by government propagandists and a corrupt and malignant media but, with high profile Jews like Paltrow adding their voice calling for humanity instead of bombs we can dare to hope that a cacophony of hope and reconciliation will out perform the war machine.
