Pampers Vs. White Cloud Diapers

To some parents, name brand diapers do not matter. Store brand diapers or other generic brands can indeed be cheaper, but the quality is often not the same as the leading brands. I have tried dozens of different brands of diapers. Because different diapers fit children differently, I have tried a variety of brands on both of my children. In my recent experiment to find a less expensive diaper, I tried the white cloud diapers from Wal-Mart. We normally use Papmers diapers.

First of all, the White Cloud diapers felt different from the Pampers. The White Cloud brand diapers were thinner and had a minimal amount of strech in them. Perhaps a thinner , less bulky diaper is more comfortable for the baby to wear. Because the White Cloud diapers do not have as much elasticity as the Pampers do, I was unable to get them to conform to my baby's body. The White Cloud diapers do not stay up very well on my baby's body and when he crawls, they come loose. With the Pampers diapers, I do not have this issue because the diapers are very stretchy and can be tightened easier around his waist.

Now, for the biggest test. Which diaper actually works best and is more dependable for leakage protection? Definitely Pampers. During the day, the White Cloud diapers are actually okay. Because my baby is sleeping through the night and I do not change his diaper throughout the night anymore, he woke up completely soaked when I used the White Cloud dipaers at nighttime. However, as long as the White Cloud diapers were changed frequently throughout the daytime hours, the diaper was dependable. I used the Pampers diapers throughout the night and they worked great. I have never experienced any leaks with the Pampers brand.

Pricewise, there is a difference. The White Cloud diapers were about five dollars cheaper than the Pampers brand and you actually received more diapers in the pack. If you are looking for a less expensive diaper and do not mind an occasional leak, White Cloud diapers might work for you. However, if dependability is a priority for you, White Cloud is probably not going to be an option.

Walmart did not stop selling these diapers. The White Cloud company quit making them. WalMart had no decision in this. White cloud was seriously the best diaper out there. I hated Huggies and Pampers, not because of the price, but because of the quality.

I'm happy that they diapers worked for many of you. However, from my research, they did not provide the results that I was used to in other brands of diapers. No reason to be rude, just a basic observation that I made.

Laura Ward, I think you need to check out the comments of real parents on this site. I think a wake up call has just been made. White cloud, I hope you are checking out this site.

I do not agree with Laura Ward. These diapers are better then pampers. They work just as well and are cheaper. Walmart made a bad mistake when they stopped selling this product. It is a shame that post like this make products sound like they do not work when they do.

I am so upset that Wal Mart stopped selling White Cloud Diapers. With all three of my children I used Pampers until they were in about size two, and then all the sudden my kids would have huge blow out in them, and the urine seemed to seep through them. At this point I changed to White Cloud with all three kids and I never had either of these problem again. For some reason Pampers do work better for my newborns, but after that they are horrible.

I submitted feedback/requests to walmart.com, whiteclouddiapers.com and tyco.com (white cloud's parent company/manufacturer - click "contact us" on the top right, then "talk to tyco" on the far left). If we all let these companies know how badly we want White Cloud...who knows?

It is a shame that Walmart stopped carrying the White Cloud brand. For our family, we found the White Cloud to be far superior to the Pampers, Luvs, and Target brand. As with most things, it may just be the better fit with my children, but we are very disappointed that we can no longer get White Cloud.

Walmart has stopped distributing WHITE CLOUD??? That's probably why the walmart I went to is out of stock. Since I switch to white cloud just a month ago and I never had to experience a leak during the day and most importantly throughout the night. I had tried all brand and I am dissatisfied with all of them, but I guess I have no choice but to choose one of them.

I have a 2 year old and I love white cloud diapers, never had a single problem out of them. I am upset too that wal-mart no longer carries them.
