Panama City Beach Tourist Attractions

Panama City Beach, Florida, located on the Gulf of Mexico, is one vacation destination that offers something for everyone, no matter how old or young they are. This area offers tourist attractions and sightseeing opportunities, outdoor activities and museums.

Parents can sit back and enjoy the cruise while their kids are transformed into pirates and have the time of their lives.

The Glass Bottom Boat also takes place on the water, but is more of an educational experience than an entertaining experience. On this tour, marine life can be witnessed in their natural habitat. This cruise also includes a trip to Shell Island, making it a great memory maker.

Gulf World Marine Park combines both educational experiences with entertainment. Here guests can learn more about marine biology while having the opportunity to attend special shows starring different marine animals and tropical birds. Although this park has been compared to a mini Sea World, there is no comparison. This marine park offers more personal contact than the larger parks such as shaking hands with a dolphin.

Shipwreck Island Waterpark is the only Waterpark located in Panama City Beach. This Waterpark has water rides and slides, wave pool, gift shops and other attractions.

Airboat Adventures allows the tourist to see Florida's swamps, brush and wildlife while traveling on an airboat. 30-minute day trips and hour-long night trips are available.

Zoo World Zoological and Botanical Park is a small zoo, but houses over 350 animals. Here you will find lion, tigers, snow leopards, bears, giraffes and even kangaroos living in a beautiful botanical garden. The habitats provided for these animals include over 250 species of trees and plants brought from around the world. A petting zoo is also located here.
Coconut Creek Family Fun Park offers family fun including miniature golf courses, bumper boats and a giant maze.

Lady Anderson Dining Yacht offers a three-hour dinner and dancing cruise on St. Andrews Bay the perfect opportunity to enjoy time with that special someone.


AAdventures at Sea offers all sorts of watersport activities. Here guests can rent pontoon boats, jetskiis, take a sightseeing tour, go parasailing, go on a snorkeling excursion or even charter a fishing boat.


Outdoor activities available on Panama City Beach include fishing, horseback riding, bowling and golf. Beach Stable offers horseback riding among the piney woods and down the beaches of Panama City. This stable offers several scenic trails and guided tours.

Rock'It Lanes is a family entertainment center that has 24 bowling lanes, a snack bar, an ice cream shop and an arcade.


Holiday Golf Club, with its two semiprivate 18-hole courses and lighted nine hole course is one of the most beautiful golf destinations around. Also located here is a lighted driving course and a snack bar. This golf course is challenging yet fair and the rates are reasonable.


Econfina Creek Canoe Livery offers day and overnight canoe and kayak trips on the beautiful Econfina Creek. While you can enjoy a trip on this crystal clear springs with limestone banks, you will need to bring cash and leave your pets. Econfina Creek Canoe Livery does not take credit cards or debit cards and does not allow dogs.

Hombre Golf Club is another one of Panama City Beach's beautiful golf courses. This semiprivate golf course offers 37 bunkers, 30 acres of water, a pro shop, bar and grill, driving range and a practice facility.

Signal Hill Golf Course is a public 18-hole course that offers a pro shop, club rental and golf carts.

Bay Point Marina offers 205 slips, which can accommodate yachts up to 140 feet, as well as many other marina services. Bay Point Marina is also the home of the Bay Point Invitational Bullfish Tournament.

Osprey Charters offers bay and inshore fishing along the shallowest flats as well as open bay waters and coastal beaches. These fishing excursions include bait, tackle and lures as well as saltwater fishing licenses.

Panama City Beach also is the home to the Museum of Man in the Sea. This museum houses exhibits, which depict man's quest to live, work and play under the water. Here tourists will fins remote control vehicles, diving gear and even submarines.
