Panama City Florida and Lynn Haven Florida - Adventure and Fun by the Water

Our trip to Panama City Florida started out like any family adventure. Being that we live in the central part of Virginia we decided it was too far to take a trip in several different cars. Therefore, we decided to rent a vehicle from Hertz car rental (big mistake, will be in another article) that would accommodate every one going to Panama City Florida.

The trip down was wonderful, we saw states we had never seen before and stopped in each one to stretch, eat and fuel before moving on. The further south you travel the more beautiful it gets. Finally, after fourteen hours of driving we arrived in Panama City Florida where we stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel in Lynn Haven Florida. It was a beautiful hotel with an indoor heated pool, sauna, hot tub and exercise room. The rooms had queen size beds that were so comfortable to sleep on I wish I could have brought it home.

The next day my son who lives in Panama City Florida took us around. He showed us the wonderful places to visit in Panama City Florida. Some of the places he showed us were of course Panama City beach, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Coyote Ugly Saloon, a three-story ship called The Lady Anderson that takes you on the ocean to dine and more.

Panama City also has a great place called PoFolks in Lynn Haven Florida that serves everything from steaks to seafood. The food is great at a very reasonable price and the server was outstanding. When we return we will be eating there again. The restaurant is a house so it is warm and inviting.

In Panama City there is a ride called slingshot that two people can ride at one time. The cost is $25 a person but so worth the ride. For $75, you get to ride two people plus get a video and two shirts. Once seated and strapped in, you are slingshot over 300 feet into the air at 100 MPH in two seconds. Once you are in the air your seat starts flipping upside down. I did not ride this, my husband and daughter rode the slingshot. Call me what you want but I like the ground better than 300 feet in the air.
