The Intelligent Auto Mode features an Intelligent Scene Selector which can select the appropriate scene mode like Portrait, Scenery, Macro, or Night Mode, a Face detection System that lets the camera focus clearly and can detect and capture clearly and brightly about 15 human faces. The Intelligent Auto Mode also has a Continuous Auto-Focus that helps the camera focus on the subject without unnecessary pressing of the shutter button.
Panasonic's Intelligent Image Stabilization balances any effects of hand-shake and can adjust the ISO setting when the image subject is moving. This features allow users to capture clear and crisp images.
All three digital cameras also has the Venus Engine III which allows consumers to shoot images of up to a setting of ISO 6400, eliminating the need for a flash when shooting in low light conditions.
Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FZ18 has a 2.5 inch LCD screen with 207,000 pixels resolution, 188,000 pixels Electric Viewfinder, six auto-focusing methods, advanced scene modes, 27 MB built-in memory, extra optical zoom power of up to 28.7x at 3 megapixels, title edit functions that can input text to images, and picture playback by category.
The DMC-FX55 and DMC-FX33 has a 3.1 inch and 2.5 inch LCD respectively, 27 MB built-in memory, Title edit function, category playback, and a clipboard function that can hold and retrieve images.
Alex Fried, National Margeting Manager for Panasonic has this to say about the DMC-FZ18: "When taking into account the camera's 18x optical zoom, which is among the industry's longest zooms, and then adding 8.1 Megapixels, a 28mm wide-angle lens, MEGA Optical Image Stabilization, and Intelligent Auto Mode, the DMC-FZ18 delivers professional-level photo quality, in a powerful camera packed with advanced features that is still easy to use." He adds that the DMC-FX55 and DMC-FX33 are the perfect combination of performance and style, and gives consumers a user-friendly digital camera in a sleek and compact body. With the 28-mm wide-angle LEICA DC lens and MEGA OIS, the DMC-FX55 and DMC-FX33 allows the on-the-go consumer to capture high-quality images with incredible features and convenience.
The DMC-FX55 and DMC-FX33 will be available in September and costs $349.95 and $299.95, respectively while the DMC-FZ18 will cost $399.95 and is also due out in September.
