Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 Digital Camera Review

Anyone that has ever loved technology is aware that there is always progress being made in the field of digital cameras. Because I love taking pictures so much, I often shop for a new digital camera with the best features around. Since technology is quickly progressing in this field, the prices on cameras are lower than they ever were before. These cameras include mode features and additional modes over previous models and they are less expensive. I purchased the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 because of a recently family vacation and a need for pictures.

I purchased the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 from Amazon for $339 and I was hesitant at first. However, after having used this camera for the last three weeks, it is well worth the money and I have purchased another as a gift. The camera is 12.1 MP and this means that images are very clear. I was able to take several pictures of my family during a fishing outing and all of the images came out as clear as they looked in person. One big problem with most digital cameras is that pictures look different than the scene. With this camera I was able to capture all of my memories in very clear images. Because of the high resolution I was able to have the pictures developed into posters. The posters did not look pixilated and grainy as many cameras produce. Another unique feature is the waterproof ability of this camera and this is great because we were able to take pictures in the pool under the water. This makes for some amazing pictures and the quality was very high also. The con here is that the shutter was a big slow and the images would sometimes be different because they were action shots. Another con is that there are too many modes on this camera and it can be difficult to switch to each one before taking a picture. I find these confusing and very hard to understand.

The camera also has an image stabilized zoom that works very well. I was able to zoom in on the action during a baseball game without having the picture shake and look horrible. The images simply looked as I had seen them with my eyes. The camera also has HD video and I had a lot of fun shooting video under water at the pool. This camera works well and the pictures look amazing.
