People like Meagan Parker have set up donation pages for their loved ones to raise money for the cause. Parker's dad has been diagnosed with the disease and as of today, $2,125 has been raised on his behalf, exceeding his daughter's goal of $1,500 so now she has raised the bar.
As is tradition, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network continues to have fundraisers around the country this time of year to raise awareness of the disease and for donations toward research and prevention.
The First Annual Celebrity Ping Pong takes place in Dallas, TX March 14 featuring 16 famous teams and 12 nationally and internationally ranked table tennis professionals. Players include Valeri Liukin, Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast Nastia Liukin, Carly Patterson, Olympic gymnast, and more.
Doors open at noon and the tournament is from 1-4 p.m. at Moody Coliseum, SMU. Sponsors include Dallas Fort Worth Table Tennis, E-rewards Market Research, Texas Motor Speedway, and Butterfly among others.

The event will be held at the Sheraton Seattle, 1400 Sixth Avenue and black tie is optional. Silent auction starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner, program, and dancing at 7:00. Pancreatic cancer survivors attend at no charge and corporate and table sponsorships are available.
