Panera Bread's Mediterranean Veggie Masterpiece

If you are looking for a delicious, healthy and fresh sandwich for lunch, try going to Panera Bread and order the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich. It is available as a full sandwich or you can get one half of it and your choice of soup. This sandwich is amazingly delicious and you do not have to be a vegetarian to enjoy it. This sandwich is made up of a medley of fresh flavorful vegetables including sweet and zesty Peppadew peppers. These crunchy yet sweet peppers add life to this classic creation.

Fresh cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes combine together with a flavorful feta cheese with onions and a tasty cilantro hummus. Panera Bread's cilantro hummus has to be one of the tastiest kinds of hummus I have ever tried. The hummus brings together all of the crisp elements of the sandwich to create one bold movement of flavor.

Outside of the Mediterranean heart of the sandwich is one of the best features of this masterpiece: the bread. The veggies are housed between two thick, moist slices of tomato basil bread. The bread is fluffy and incredibly flavorful. The crust is packed with tremendous tomato and basil flavor. The complete combination of all the flavors will leave you craving for more.

When you order the Mediterranean Veggie, you will get the choice of a French baguette slice, potato chips, a whole grain baguette slice, or an apple. If you decide to do the You Pick Two option, you can get half of this sandwich along with a cup of soup or half of a café salad. If you choose to have a soup with your sandwich, try the rich and creamy broccoli and cheddar soup. If you are looking for a cool and crisper addition to your sandwich, try the Greek salad. The Greek salad pairs well with the Mediterranean Veggie. It consists of romaine, tomatoes, onions, feta cheese, peperoncini, kalamata olives, pepper and Panera's own Greek dressing. Another salad option is the Caesar. Try this if you do not want to overpower your palate with Mediterranean flavor. This salad is made up of romaine, asiago, Caesar dressing and homemade asiago croutons. Overall, this is a great meal choice during anytime of the day or year.
