Pantene Personal Hair Consultation: Medium to Thick Hair Solutions Review

To be perfectly honest, I was a little hesitant to take on this review. Pantene's new Medium to Thick Hair Solutions line is the first hair product line I have reviewed, and I have a long history of finding hair care products less than helpful with my very long, frizz-prone hair. Over the years, I have found some products that work better than others, but all of them lost effect after a few weeks of use. The habit I fell into was rotating the brands of shampoos and conditioners that worked moderately well, and my hair seemed to respond a little better that way.

However, I never turn down a free sample, so I decided to go ahead and give the Pantene Personalized Hair Consultation a try. I found Pantene's website easy to navigate (not to mention very sleek and well designed), with a few simple questions about hair structure and the style result I was looking for: no more frizz. My resulting recommendation was Medium to Thick Hair Solutions, which was right on target. On top of the product suggestions, the site also has step-by-step hair styling instructions, categorized by hair structure and by length.

As for the product itself, I can hardly say enough good. The humidity this summer has been brutal on my hair. Most days, I have the "halo" of frizz by noon, no matter how nicely my hair-day started. I had been trying all sorts of things to get a look that was smooth and shiny, but not plastered down or heavily slathered in some product or another.

The first time I washed my hair with Pantene's Medium to Thick Hair Solutions, I could tell the difference immediately, before I even got to styling. My hair felt stronger and smoother immediately. When I did put my hair up, I found it easier than normal to work with, and while it felt "thicker," it still had volume. Over the course of several weeks, the Medium to Thick Shampoo and Conditioner have continued to help me cut the frizz and keep my hair looking smooth, shiny and beautiful.

Although I am generally an "on the fence" sort of person, and loathe to advocate one product over another, I feel very comfortable recommending the Hair Consultation and Pantene's new Medium to Thick Hair Solutions products for those who are struggling to get their hair looking gorgeous.
