Pantene Relaxed & Natural Daily Oil Moisturizer claims to prevent breakage in fragile hair, repair damage and prevent split ends. It also claims to restore moisture to dry hair and replenish shine. It's said to be gentle enough for natural or relaxed African American hair. I tried the product for several weeks before forming an opinion about it.
First, I must commend Pantene on the wonderful fragrance of the product. Having suffered from multiple chemical sensitivity, which causes me to become ill upon smelling certain scents and fragrances, I have to be careful about which fragrances I choose. The fragrance of Pantene Relaxed & Natural Daily Oil Moisturizer is nice and light and isn't overpowering in the least.
I must admit that this moisturizer worked a lot better than I expected, although it wasn't quite as good as some others I've used. It increased the shine of my hair, but a couple hours after using the product, my hair was just as dry as it was prior to using it. I would use the Pantene Relaxed & Natural Daily Moisturizer if my regular moisturizers weren't available, but I wouldn't purchase it regularly. Just because I had mediocre results with this moisturizer doesn't mean that it doesn't work well on other types of hair, so I would definitely not refer to it as being useless. Perhaps African American hair that isn't in such a damaged state would respond better to this particular moisturizer.
My sister has hair that isn't damaged and that is also not quite as kinky as mine is. She also tried Pantene Relaxed & Natural Daily Oil Moisturizer and was quite pleased with the results. For this reason, I would recommend this possibly useful moisturizer to others looking for a high-quality product to keep their hair moisturized on a daily basis. Once my own hair is in a healthier state, I might even try this moisturizer again just to see if I get the results that I'm looking for, because, in my opinion, a woman can never have too many hair products in her "arsenal" of beauty products.
