Cold Beer, Great Raw Oysters, and Various Pizza Combinations
Papa Rocco's is full of nightly entertainment ranging from local musical talents to frat boys singing karaoke to loud football game coverage, all at no cover charge. If you show up at night, there's not a chance of getting bored; however, you do run a slight chance of going deaf. With that in mind, you don't want to get to know your honey in this atmosphere, so if you and your significant other want to enjoy bar life or fun music, go to Papa Rocco's, but if you want to have a night of retelling old stories and getting to know one another better, you should look into one of Gulf Shores' many other food and bar establishments. Or, if you still want to taste Papa Rocco's food, you can order from the take-out menu and enjoy pizza or Italian favorites in the luxury of your own room.
"Home of warm beer and lousy pizza," reads Papa Rocco's sign, but trust me, if you're a fan of beer and pizza, Papa Rocco's will do anything but leave you disappointed. If you can take the atmosphere, than you're sure to enjoy the food and the fast, friendly service as well. Ranging from Taco to Seafood Primavera, their pizza is famed but what's the item on the menu that has won the most number of People's Choice Awards? Papa Rocco's wonderful raw oysters have won the award for "best raw oysters" in Gulf Shores for six years and running. Other great choices on their menu include salads, their huge nachos, many Italian specialties, great burgers, and snow crab. Papa Rocco's keeps their full menu out until midnight for those who prefer to eat late.
Though Happy Hour is from 11-7, Papa Rocco's also offers weekday lunch specials that range from $4.95 to $5.95 depending on the day of the week. Also, free wireless internet is available.
