Paperless Post: A Greener Way to Send an Invitation

Ryanick Paige
Paperless post takes a green step into the future and allows members to send beautiful invitations all over the world. Paperlesspost.com is a beta website that is taking cyber invites to new level. It does more than just send an email invitation to someone. At Paperless Post you can design elegant invitations and matching envelopes and deliver to your guest list at the touch of a button. And it is all done without harming a single tree.

When you sign up at Paperless Post, you are given 25 stamps. These stamps are used to send your invitations. To earn more stamps, you can invite more people to join or you can buy stamps with your credit card. For each person that joins from your invite, you earn 5 stamps. The cost of the stamps is a fraction of what you would pay for regular postage. The cost of the Paperless Post stamp is roughly 10-percent of a regular stamp, depending on the amount you choose to purchase.

It does seem silly to pay for an internet "stamp", when you can email someone for free. However, the invitations that are designed from Paperless Post are truly beautiful and something that is reminiscent to the paper invitations.

To join paperlesspost.com you simply supply your name, email address, and a password. Once the confirmation email comes, click your name and follow the steps. You can be creating spectacular invitations in just minutes. Once you design and send your invitation and envelope, you will be able to track who has received their invitations and even manage their replies online.

To start creating you Paperless Post invitation you choose from a modern or classic design in a formal, casual, or holiday theme. Next, you choose the paper you wish to use. Now, you choose what you want your invitation to say. Paperless Post even has a wording assistant that allows you to choose what type of event the invitation is for. You can also select the font style, color, and size. Then you will enter the events details such as the address of the event, if you would like an RSVP, and more.

Once all the important details are finished, you can preview your invitation at paperlesspost.com. The preview you see will look exactly like what is delivered to the inbox of the recipient. In the preview stage, you can even print the invitation. Next, you will enter the email addresses of everyone you want to send an invitation too. You can manually enter each address or import them from an address book or spreadsheet. Once you are finished, you send the invitations.

It seems that Paperless Post has brought the future of sending invitations into the present. They offer a low cost and green option over the traditional invitations. Give Paperless Post a try, your bank account and the planet might thank you.

This is a great idea. We're planning a pamper party next month, so I'm going to check out Paperless Post. Send me your invite code so you can earn some extra stamps!
