There are public swimming pools throughout the Omaha area but there is one facility located in Papillion that kids and families are crazy about.
"Papio Bay Aquatic Park" is not your average swimming area. It offers so much for every family member and hosts events throughout the season.
Here is an overview of "Papio Bay Aquatic Park" and what it has to offer.
The aquatic park consists of five acres and includes two children's wading pools equipped with a butterfly water slide for the tots, two diving boards for the dare-devil, a zero depth entry swimming area for all, and two thrilling water slides.
In addition to the water activities, "Papio Bay Aquatic Park" has outdoor recreation that includes two sand volleyball courts, a sand play area, and a concession stand. Because the facility offers concessions, coolers, food, and beverages are not permitted.
Admission fees are affordable at "Papio Bay" and various types of passes are available. Daily admission is just $5.25 for adults ages 17-54 and $4.25 for youth ages 3-16/ seniors 55 +; infants under 2 are free.
"Papio Bay" offers special admission fees during Twilight hours (Monday through Friday after 5:30 pm) which are $3.75 for adults ages 17- 54 and $3.25 for youth ages 3-16/ seniors 55+.
If families plan to spend a lot of time at the aquatic park, residents can purchase individual season passes at $85.00 for ages 11 and up and family passes (up to 6 members) are $175.00. Individual non-resident passes are $95.00 for ages 11 and up and family passes (up to 6 members) are $215.00.
Mid-season passes are also available at "Papio Bay Aquatic Park" and cost $60.00 for individuals ages 11 and up and families (up to 6 people) are $110.00. Note: there is a $15.00 fee for each additional family member within the same household. Not everyone will utilize a season pass so individual punch cards can be purchased for $47.25 for adults and $38.25 for youth.
Additionally "Papio Bay Aquatic Park" offers facility rentals for $250 per hour with a minimum of 300 people per group.
"Papio Bay Aquatic Park" is located at 815 E. Halleck Street in Papillion, Nebraska. Park hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 pm until 6pm.
