Paradise Cove is located on the leeward side of the island in the Kapolei/Ko'Olina Resort. You will be greeted with a Mai Tai and live Hawaiian music, which sets the tone for the entire evening. Unlike at the Polynesian Cultural Center, adults can imbibe on tropical alcoholic beverages and enjoy an evening of great food, dancing and singing, and Hawaiian games for the kids.
Adult admission is just $75 per person, $65 for youths ages 13 through 18, and $55 for children (ages 12 and under). Basic admission fees include a terrific buffet, activities and the stage show, and complimentary round-trip shuttle service from Waikiki. There are three different packages, so you can choose the one that best suits your party. For those of you who live in Hawaii, you can receive kama-aina (local) discounts.
The staff at Paradise Cove is as friendly as can be, and you will never feel rushed. Great attention is paid to detail, and the setting is magnificent. For those of you who live in or visit the Ko'Olina area, you know that the sunsets here are unforgettable. Paradise Cove has been serving guests for more than twenty years and their experience shows.
The stage show at Paradise Cove includes both traditional and modern hula dancing, singing, and of course, a fire-knife dancer, who dazzles every time. Kids also seem to love this luau the best. There are Hawaiian games to be played, canoes to be ridden, and plenty of pre-dinner activities, so it's impossible for them to get bored.
The Paradise Cove Luau starts promptly at 5:30 p.m., but they open at five. For more information and to book reservations, you can visit their web site at paradisecovehawaii.com, or call them at 808-842-5911.
As someone who lived on the island of Oahu for some time, Paradise Cove was the only luau I highly recommended to my guests, and the only luau I frequented time and time again. It's truly a wonderful experience. A great way to have fun, meet new people, and experience some authentic Hawaiian culture. Aloha, and enjoy your visit to Paradise Cove.
