Paranormal Experiences I've had in My Home

In the past few decades I've had many paranormal experiences, and I've lived in homes that seemed to have resident ghosts. The home I've lived in for the past eight years isn't haunted, but I have had visiting ghosts. I am sensitive to the paranormal, and if a ghost is passing through or visiting, I'm sure to know of its presence. In the past eight years I've actually seen one visiting ghost, and two of my kids have also had experiences with visiting ghosts who seemed to be passing through our home.

You don't have to live in a haunted house to experience visiting ghosts, and if you're sensitive to the paranormal, visiting ghosts can drop by anywhere or anytime. Ghosts who are simply visiting can be drawn to whatever it is you're doing, and ghosts can be drawn to someone who is sensitive to their presence.

The Floating Apparition

When my son was about six years old he told me he saw the figure of a person going up the stairs, and the figure turned and entered one of the bedrooms. He said this visiting ghost didn't appear to have legs and seemed to be floating. Although I didn't elaborate on what my child saw because I didn't want to scare him, I believe he saw a ghost that was passing through. Ghosts often look as if they are missing their lower extremities which makes them appear to be floating, and this is exactly what my son described. The spirit world is said to be three feet above our plane of existence, and this is why ghosts often appear to be floating or missing limbs.

A Visiting Ghost From Another Era

Shortly before I found out I was expecting my last child, I awoke to discover what appeared to be the apparition of a young girl standing in the doorway of my bedroom. She had long hair and appeared to be wearing an old-fashioned dress and a bonnet. I wasn't at all afraid by her presence, and this girl appeared to be about eight or nine years old in life. She had a smile on her face and her fingers were clasped together with her hands resting upon the front of her dress. She didn't appear as solid as a living, breathing human being. She looked two-dimensional and slightly opaque for lack of a better description. She never entered my bedroom, and she finally disappeared. I believe she could have once lived in the area, and she was simply visiting.

The Visiting Teen Ghost

My seventeen year old son shares a room with his nineteen year old brother, and they always sleep with the stereo on. A few days after my son awoke to find the ghost of a teen boy standing over him, he shared his story. He was apprehensive to mention it at first, because he didn't want to sound foolish.

My son said upon awaking he glanced over at the clock. It was almost 2:30 a.m., and then he was startled to discover a boy standing about two feet away from the edge of his bed. The boy was thin and looked to be about 13 or 14 years of age. He was wearing a light colored shirt with patches on the shoulders, but his forearms and legs weren't visible. Like the apparition my younger son saw going up the stairs, this visiting ghost appeared to be floating in midair. His face was expressionless as he stared at my son.

Upon realizing this wasn't anyone in our family, my son moved away from the ghostly boy and blurted out a cry of surprise. As my son quickly moved away from the figure, this visiting ghost took off like a shot through the wall. It seems as if my son surprised him just as much as he surprised my son! Once the apparition was gone, he went back to sleep, but reluctantly on the other side of the bed.

I told my son I believe this ghostly boy was visiting our home because he was attracted to the music and other kids about his age. I don't think he meant any harm, and maybe he once lived in the area. Although the sight of visiting ghosts can be unsettling, keep in mind it's really the living we have to fear.
