Parents' Guide on How to Enjoy the Walt Disney World

Christopher Blydenburgh
Who says Walt Disney World's only for kids? We, parents, do deserve our bit of fun too! So, here are a handful of advices on how you and your better-half can enjoy Mickey and the rest of his gang while on vacation with your kids.

On one evening, try hiring a babysitter while you, couple, go out on a date. If you are a registered guest in a Disney resort, you can entrust your children to a Disney resort's childcare center. For approximately $10 an hour for each of your kids, each of them will have dinner prepared for them plus they can do some arts and crafts, play video games, and watch Disney shows. If your kid is not yet potty trained or is below 4 years old, then give Kid's Nite Out a call and a childcare assistant will be in your room shortly.

Have a romantic date in one of the finest restaurants in Disney World. For a climactic evening, dine at Victoria and Albert's located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. They offer a majestic 7-course dinner served on a set of white linen together with glittering crystals and Royal Doulton china. Disney's Contemporary Resort, on the other hand, has on its 15th floor, one of the most sumptuous restaurants there is - the California Grill, with its various dishes ranging from outstanding New American Cuisine to fresh slices of sushi to beautiful desserts and, to top it all, a notable list of California wines. What really makes the place amazing is its sweeping view of the stunning things in Walt Disney World such as the Seven Seas Lagoon, Magic Kingdom, and Wishes Fireworks.

Think about renting two adjacent rooms. Disney resorts thought of connecting rooms so that Mommy and Daddy can have a romantic dinner in the confines of their own room while the children are asleep.

To fully enjoy Disney's magical ambiance, take pleasure in drinking wine on your balcony or in your room. Although somewhat few, stores in Disney resorts have a selection of bottled wines. However, room service usually presents a better selection.

Go to the Grand Floridian Spa and have the two of you, Mommy and Daddy, take a massage in a room lit with candle light. You may also take the Couples Instructional Massage that has a set of procedures in massage therapy. This usually lasts for three hours.

Witness the spectacular fireworks, swing on a hammock, or lie on a dreamy white beach in one of the Magic Kingdom resort. The Disney Polynesian Resort, for example, provides the most ideal spot for you, two lovers.

Two crystal glasses and some champagne aboard a Fireworks Cruise on one of Epcot's or Magic Kingdom's resort.

Go bar hopping and clubbing at Disney's Pleasure Island. This 6-acre land for party-going adults has clubs on every wall, fireworks during midnight, street parties, and all the nighttime amusement that every party-lover can think of. It is like every night is a New Year's Eve.

Hang-out at Disney's Boardwalk because the energy never lasts with its Atlantic Dance. Sweat the night out then witness some illumination shows. Also, hire a surrey and have picturesque run over the Crescent Lake.

The ideas are never ending. Truly, Walt Disney World is not just for kids because the Disney magic casts its spell on young and old alike.
