Paris Hilton Life Getting Much Simpler

Tyler Foster
Paris Hilton, heiress to the Hilton hotel empire is back in the news for all the wrong reasons. This spoiled trust-fund baby is scheduled to report to jail on June 5, 2007 for continuing to drive on a suspended license. After repeated traffic stops and warning from the courts she refused to listen and continued to escalate her offenses. I guess Paris just doesn't think the laws apply to her. Maybe now she'll learn her lesson.

Like other celebrities that head to the slammer, Paris Hilton will probably get some soft treatment by jail staffers, regardless of their promises to treat her just like any other inmate. I just don't see that happening. She will be treated like a celebrity in prison and given a pass on rules just like she is given in the general population. Similar to the "rehab" treatment centers many of these celebrities stay at that are nicer than the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, jail time for celebrities is more like play time rather than hard time. Paris will be confined to her cell 23 out of 24 hours of the day, with only 1 hour to talk on the phone, shower and get some exercise. With all that time on her hands, maybe she will do some thinking and finally come to the realization that she needs to grow up, get a real job and take care of herself instead of living off her trust fund.

Now before you go feeling sorry for her because she will be without designer labels and a cell phone for a few weeks, remember the reason she is going to be there. Back in September 2006, Hilton was arrested for reckless driving while driving under the influence. She paid a fine and was sentenced to three years probation along with some alcohol education classes. Of course, Paris never showed up for her alcohol education classes and was pulled over a couple more times on her way to this latest hearing. The judge finally had enough of her antics and ordered her to jail for 45 days. If she fails to appear the judge will double the sentence to 90 days.

As a society when will we quit putting these people up on pedestals for our children to emulate? Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Brittany Spears have monopolized the tabloids lately. From exposing their drawers to shaving their heads these clowns are not worthy of younger generation's adoration.

Nice article! Actually from my past professonal experience, she will probably be treated worse. The everyday working guy does NOT have any affection for spoiled people like her. I wish they would send he to the Sudan, so she could see what real life, and suffering is about!
