Paris Hilton World Cup Marijuana Arrest: Special Treatment?

Special Treatment for Hilton on Marijuana Charges No Surprise to Most

Donald Pennington
According to Reuters News on Yahoo Paris Hilton and gal-pal former Playboy Playmate Jennifer Rovero, were arrested after the World Cup in South Africa, on July 2nd, 2010, on charges of smoking marijuana.

Paris Hilton and gal buddy burning a doob at the World Cup - busted...not!

While Ms Rovero was actually charged, and fined 1000 Rand ($130 USD) or 30 days in jail, Paris Hilton was released. Authorities state they had no case against the heiress since the joint was only in Ms Rovero's possession. It would seem the gal's so pampered even her weed gets held by someone else while she puf - puff - passes.

Ms Rovero's attorney indicated she was in South Africa covering the World Cup as a freelance photographer. Since Ms Hilton was not charged with actual possession of the offending weed, it might be assumed she was only at the World Cup to comfort a friend, through the trauma of the grassy experience.

Paris Hilton and marijuana and the lameness of soccer - hells yeah!

The Hilton family have some great attorneys, to convince the courts of Port Elizabeth that Ms Hilton wasn't involved with the possession of the ganja. The probability of the combination of Paris Hilton, pot, and any sport as boring as soccer, not ending up as a toke or two, is astronomical. Surely, no one is surprised soccer fans do something to stave off catatonia during games. Port Elizabeth authorities must not be determined enough to overcome the legal barricades of someone with that much money.

In a report from couriermail.com.au, judge Xolile Dlulisa had notified Paris Hilton her charges were dropped, after a three minute court hearing. Poor poor traumatized baby. Her buddy Jennifer Rovero should just forget about the inequity as the price one pays to hang out with sparkly people.

Paris Hilton, marijuana, and the world cup: That just kicks balls!

So after the young lady's last stint of 23 days in jail for DWI, (out of a 45 day sentence) the "re-evaluation of the role partying plays in my life" promised to Larry King by the billionairess must be moot. She'll face no responsibility for her actions, while those around her will still be held to their fines, for their non-crime(s). Judges and courts have no place interrupting trust fund babies in the middle of their re-evaluations of their lives, apparently. What a perfect spokesperson for WhyDecriminaliseWeed.info!

  • If I were stuck at the World Cup, with Paris Hilton, and pot - you bet I'd get stoned.
  • Was Jennifer Rovera expected to smoke Paris Hilton at the match instead?
  • Too bad Paris didn't take a lead from Lady Gaga, and wore her pants.
Special treatment for Special Paris and her marijuana charges should come as no surprise to all of us "little people."

I don't think other governments are as bad as ours when it comes to drugs and such. I spent some time in Europe and marijuana is not a big deal. Even if you got caught bringing a small amount of Mary Jane or hash into the country, it's not a big deal like it is in the U.S. - This place is nuts, frankly. You only need to spend some time abroad to fully realize that fact.

And now they're all boo-hooing over Lilo's 90 day sentence! Tough patooties, I say. You do the crime, you do the time.

I guess if you've got a hot body and a zillion dollars, you can get away with anything.

Yes, it's too bad that money still corrupts justice, but I used to smoke the stuff when I was her age, so I'm not going to judge.

Sorry – couldn't read the whole article. Just not that interested in what Paris does or does not do – what DOES she do?
