Park Avenue Pups is an amazing "doggie day care" for your dog. They also offer obedience training and grooming. It is located off of Bainbridge Blvd in Chesapeake, VA. Rhoda and Charles are the two owners who spend all the time with the dogs. They are both perfect for the job and do an amazing job with all of the dogs in their care.
Obedience training takes place one on one. You arrive with your dog and Rhoda teaches you two how to do things. She first shows you how to command what you want and how your dog should react, then has you do it yourself. It's up to you to practice when you get home but her techniques are amazing and will work wonders if you enforce them. Rhoda is also really great at helping with any problems you may come across in your home life with your pet. I have called her countless times frustrated over the latest thing my dog has gotten into and she always has a solution. She knows her training.
They also do an excellent job of grooming. My dog comes home from a grooming day bathed, clipped and smelling wonderful. Everything from her ears to her feet are sparkling clean and she's always decorated with a new bandanna.
I feel the biggest claim to fame is their day care. I sent my dog at least twice a week to Charles and Rhoda's day care. They would come pick my dog up early in the morning, take her to play all day long and bring her back more exhausted than ever. She loved getting out to play with other dogs and it was great for socializing purposes. Rhoda is great at supervising the dogs and making sure they're not too aggressive with each other.
Let's talk pricing. The prices here are excellent and you won't find better ones in this area. If your dog is a rescue from a shelter or other rescue facility you qualify for a 25% discount.
I never worried when my dog was away at Park Avenue Pups. I knew she would be getting the best attention and care from two people who are the best at what they do. It was like a second family for my dog. She was so excited when Charles came to the door to pick her up for her day care day. With a happy dog and a happy wallet, what isn't there to love about it?

Post a CommentWe also have tried Park Avenue Pups and have found that our dog gets excellent care. Rhoda and Charles act like the dogs are real people and we feel very very secure leaving Jeb with them when we go away.
Also, if your dog is having a birthday coming up soon, why not employ Rhoda and Charles to organize it. They did such a bang up job at Roxy's party. It was so much fun and such a joy to watch all the dogs get together.
These are great people and your dog will be in great hands.
It's great that you found a day care for your dog that she likes.
