When you first walk through the door of the Park Cafe, you'll see a section that's enclosed with windows on every side. On the left side you'll see a very impressive bar and on the right there are some bistro tables where you can enjoy a glass of wine or dine. The main dining areas are located a little way past the front entrance and are not only intimate but dressed beautifully, as you'll find linen dressed tables and chairs that surround a fireplace. Above the fireplace is a lovey vignette that includes decorative pears, wine bottles and beautiful artwork.
Once you get past the decor you'll be ready to see the food offerings and let me tell you, they are impressive. The Park Cafe serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. You can purchase breakfast as a meal or a la carte. The choices include biscuit and sausage and gravy, fresh fruit, sweet potato pancakes served with honey butter and fresh whipped cream. On their lunch menu you'll find their famous fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, dill chicken salad and crab cake sandwich just to name a few. The Park Cafe kicks dinner up a couple of notches with grilled mini-lamb t-bones served with potato cake and Au poivre sauce or duck confit pasta, which is parpadelle pasta, peas, mushrooms, and roasted garlic maderia cream.
The Park Cafe also has a wonderful selection of wines and ports and on Wednesday's you can par-take in their Wine tasting for just $10.00 with an entree and $15.00 for the wine tasting only. The wine tasting includes sampling of up to 4 different wines from their extensive collection. The Park Cafe is located at 3579 West Lawrenceville Street in the heart of downtown Duluth, Georgia 30096. It's a great place to host a birthday, wedding or anniversary party. For reservations give them a call at 770-476-2989.
Bottom-line: Excellent food, Great location. Price point $8.00 to $30.00.
