Park hopping allows guests to maximize their use of time. Since time is money when it comes to the Disneyland Resort, visitors who need to keep their costs to a minimum while visiting the parks can benefit from park hopping because it will allow them to fit in many or all of the things they wanted to do during the course of fewer days. Fewer days in the park means lower hotel and food costs, as well.
With the parks so close together, park hopping is easy. Those who have previously visited Walt Disney World certainly know how inconvenient it can be to get from one park to another. The parks of the Disneyland Resort are very close together, however. It takes only 2 minutes to walk from the entrance of one park to the entrance of the other park. This makes park hopping between Disneyland and California Adventure easy and convenient.
Hopping between parks allows guests to get the most out of Fast Pass. For those who want very much to fit in as many rides as possible while in the parks of the Disneyland Resort, using the Fast Pass system is a must. Park hopping allows visitors to enter one park, collect Fast Passes to use later, ride some rides, then head over to the other park, and do the same. By the time a group is done at the second park, the Fast Passes they collected at the previous park are valid. Heading back and forth between parks this way helps guests to fit in as many rides as possible in a single day.
Park hopping maximizes convenience. Love the rides at Disneyland but hate the food? Head over to California Adventure for lunch! Hanging out at California Adventure all day but need a Disneyland T-Shirt to take home to Mom? Hop back over to the other park and pick up souvenirs.
For all of the benefits and convenience it allows, park hopping in the Disneyland Resort can mean the difference between feeling restricted, or having a relaxed visit.
