With the acquisition of Roy Williams, in a trade with the Detroit Lions last year, Owens became expendable. Roy Williams is a good receiver, but I think the loss of Owens creates a big void for the Cowboys. I'm not sure Roy Williams as the #1 receiver can be successful, without another talented receiver on the other side to keep the double coverage away from him. Apparently the Cowboys think of this as addition through subtraction. While Owens was at times a hot-headed and disgruntled employee, he had a strong desire to win and contribute to the teams success. Unlike the Adam Jones experiment which ended the same way, I think Owens play making will be missed.
Now a free agent, Owens is searching for his 4th team. Unlike some of the population, Owens won't have trouble finding employment. There are many teams who could use his talent. How about the New York Giants? Staying in the NFC East, Owens would have four games to match up against his former teams, the Eagles and Cowboys. The Miami Dolphins could also use Owens and Parcells can keep him in line or he'll show him the door. The Colts would be a nice fit, too. Manning to Owens sounds nice. Although, the Colts probably don't have the money to sign him. The Baltimore Ravens could be interested. The Denver Broncos, who may be without Brandon Marshall for a while due to a likely suspension, could use another receiver. I'd mention the Raiders, but does anyone really want to go there? Where do you think TO will end up?
When Owens does sign with a new team, I'm going to check the schedule to see if they play the Cowboys. Then, I'm going to circle that game and make sure I'm in front of my television to watch the game on my Direct TV NFL Sunday Ticket and I'm going to have my popcorn ready.

If Owens was to sign with the New York Giants he would have played for 3 teams in he NFC East with only the Redskins never employing his talent.
