Three Afghanis were detained in India for attempting to travel with fake passports. No, they weren't falsified Afghan passports. It gets even better than that. They were Mexican passports; complete with authentic and rather stylish Mexican names. Their story suffered a major setback when it was discovered they didn't speak a lick of Spanish. The three claimed to be traveling to France, but I'll leave you to form your own opinion of their final destination. Although this may seem a rather trivial and somewhat humorous event, it is much more. In just one month, June 2004, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 77 men of Middle Eastern decent attempting to enter the United States from Mexico. In November 2004, Egyptian-born Sharif al-Masri, who is a known supporter of Jihad informed investigators that al-Qaeda planned to smuggle nuclear material into the United States from Mexico. In June 2005, an attempt to smuggle Iranians into the United States from Mexico was thwarted by the FBI. And a little known fact: it has been confirmed that al Qaeda has ties with the El Salvadorian street gang Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS 13) who has a strong presence in Mexico and a growing presence in the United States. I think you get the picture. How does this impact immigration and border security? The granting of amnesty to illegal aliens will not only apply to illegal immigrant Mexicans, who are usually associated with illegal immigration (thank the media for that one-sided view), but to everyone. Amnesty knows no race. Undoubtedly, any amnesty law would meet the merits of political correctness which would engage our law enforcement and immigration officials in a legal quagmire that would severely hamper their efforts to protect the homeland. Ultimately, this amnesty would include every "person of Middle Eastern decent" with the intent of replacing our way of life with Sharia law (Islamic law that is based on religion as interpreted by an Islamic religious scholar), killing the infidels, and hopefully being swept up into that promised paradise for killing in the name of Allah. The issue of open borders is much more than just our tax dollars being squandered to support illegal immigrants. It's an issue of such importance that if not treated with the respect that it deserves, we just may be playing a part of history that will rival the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.
