Pastor Troy's Attitude Adjuster Will Have Broad Appeal

Pastor Troy is a College Park, Georgia, native who has dropped several hip-hop albums throughout his decade-long career. Now the Georgia native is back on the scene with his latest album, Attitude Adjuster. Will Attitude Adjuster maintain Pastor Troy's legacy in the hip-hop game?

It's On starts the album off on a high note. Although the track is basically just an intro which features Pastor Troy just talking, the beat is incredibly catchy. The track should have definitely been made into a full length track.

I'm Hot (I Got That Lava) features a beat almost as catchy as It's On. The track is just incredibly catchy and although the song could probably never be played on radio, the track is just very strong.

Street Law definitely features a rock inspired beat. The track is catchy in the vein of a less commercial Party Like A Rockstar by the group Da Shop Boyz. The song takes all the elements of urban rock and combines them into a cohesive effort.

For My Soldiers features a sample of the popular song from Sting Shape Of My Heart. The chorus, the beat and the melody are incredibly recognizable to the listener. The track is incredibly introspective and one of the strongest on the album.

My Box Chevy is a bouncy southern track which is just very catchy. The track is one of the most commercially appealing tracks on the album.

Do You Wanna Dance? is one of the weaker tracks on the album. The song features Pastor Troy singing on the track and that just is not appealing.

15 Blocks is a gritty street epic which will appeal to hip hop purists. The song is definitely tougher than most of the material on the album and is for a more hardcore audience.

Put Him On The Scope is about a much darker subject matter than the catchy beat would suggest. The song is one of the rawest tracks on the album lyrically however the production is incredibly catchy and smooth.

The album closes with PT Cruiser which also features the incredibly catchy beat from It's On giving the album a solid story structure.

Coming into this album, I did not know what to expect. However, Pastor Troy delivered a very solid album that will appeal to a large variety of hip-hop fans. Overall, Attitude Adjuster gets 8 out of 10. If you are a fan of Pastor Troy, make sure you pick up his new album Attitude Adjuster when it is available in stores on February 19.
