Too many things to do
Which one should I take,
Which one is the mistake?
I'm standing at a crossroad
The wind is ever-changing
It pushes me that way,
Pulls me this way,
Will I ever be free?
I'm the fly caught in the web,
I'm the crop dying in the drought.
On the outside I show a smile,
On the inside all I do is shout.
If I go this way, I'm happy with that.
But if I turn away and go down here,
I'm happy in a different way.
But what do you do when you want them both?
You need to make a choice,
You need to make it fast,
Whichever one you turn from,
Will forever be in the past.
But whichever one you choose,
Stand by what you say,
Because let me tell you,
The future changes every day.
There is one thing that hurts the most,
And you want to deny it, honestly,
It's killing you quickly, but you won't budge
Because it tears your soul apart constantly.
The path you want to take,
Might be full of misery and hate,
But you still can't let it go
Because you're heart can't say no.
