She looked aimlessly
Into his saddened eyes
Perhaps for their last time
She pleaded for him to stay
And prayed that
Heartbreaking was a crime
His mind wavered
Against the strength and compassion
Of her plea
Foolishly his mind was frozen
To the fire of feeling
That came from her
Now, alone, and heartless
She waits
For him to return and love her
Years upon years pass
Faithful until his heart was hers
As she knew it would be
Forever
