You know I have always loved you, right? You had me at "craft."
When you air those shows about crafts, decorating and finding that perfect home, I can hardly contain myself and just about burst with overwhelming passion for you.
It is as if you know me, my inner creative soul just screaming to come out, I flip a channel and there you are Home & Garden Television, knowing what I need most at that moment.
I always think about you, HGTV. I always try to add that special little touch to my home to give it the warm and comfortable feeling, I make sure the place settings are just perfect, I know you would be proud of me. Everything I do in my home and garden is just for you, HGTV.
I have to be honest, I wasn't so happy about the whole Design Star concept and the search for the next biggest stars of HGTV, I felt a little jealous but I know it is about the ratings and keeping the shows fresh. I understand how it is. I know I am the true star in your eyes and you just want to protect me from the limelight. You are always so good to me like that, it makes me love you even more than I already thought I possibly could.
Even though I am just a teacher and a Mom and you are a top rated network, I just always knew we would be united somehow... someday. We have so much in common, our love for taking care of the home, garden and crafts makes us the perfect fit. We were meant to be together. I could feel it every time I turn you on, mention color scheme or painting the walls and I knew you were talking directly to me. You are always trying to help and make me happy, right HGTV?
And yes, I know we have not actually met but I talk to you all the time, I tell you things often, such as: that I need a quick craft for the kids or my curtains are really drab and I need ideas, you always listen. You really are an excellent listener.
I also know that you really want me to host a craft show for kids because you really do not have a show like that and you are too shy to call and ask. I want you to know that it is okay to be shy, call me and I will say yes in a heart beat. You are always there for me and understand me, I feel the same about you. We share so much with each other HGTV, please call...don't be shy.
We have a strong future together, Home & Garden Television and I am not getting any younger here! I am getting a little tired of waiting for you to call, but I love you so I will try and be patient.
If you called me right now, I would talk to you all night about ways to make that tiny room look bigger or how to make that really cute kid's holiday placemat, anything you wanted to talk about is fine with me. You are full of good ideas and I am too, although my family says I am full of something and they are not sure it is just good ideas.
Anyway, once the shyness goes away a bit, then we can talk about me hosting a craft show for kids. I know you would try to play it cool, trying not to act too excited about me hosting but I know you well HGTV, you don't have to play those games with me.
So HGTV, I am here waiting patiently for your call to host and be the star in your eyes. I'll wait a little longer....I have wreaths to make, pillows to re-cover, flowers to plant.....plus, you are worth the wait, HGTV! Remember...I love you.

I always watched HGTV. That was when I had TV. Now I just work on my home and garden. So, good luck with your appeal, but don't hold your breath.
What a great article. I like HGTV too. :-)
He-he, good one! I love the blinking heart at the top, too :) Nice job on this, cheers :) (p.s. let us know if they get back to you!) LOL
Yes, I too am a HGTV fanatic! Design Star, Designed to Sell, Get it Sold, Color Splash, Dear Genevieve...so many shows, so little time! Say, thanks for your comment on my writing article, Michelle - I just saw one of your comments on someone else's file and realized I hadn't stopped by your page in a long, long time!
I love HGTV!
