Patrick Swayze's film career spans 30 years, including such favorites as Ghost, Point Break, and Red Dawn. And, although he always kept his fan base, his career was in limbo for several years. With the advent of The Beast, his career seemed to get the jump start it needed.
As a young woman in the 1980s, I remember being a big fan. I enjoyed his movies and he definitely was a charmer. His smile warmed the screen.
During the last two years, Patrick Swayze allowed us into his private world, showing us his private battles and an inner strength, which was inspiring. His relationship with his wife was strong and real. Many of us can only wish for such support, a true partner with whom we share our last days.
I am saddened by his loss, but grateful that he allowed us to share in his journey. He will be remembered.

Post a CommentI always admired his work.... sad. :-{
I agree. I can't even imagine how hard it is for his family. To have to grieve so publically.
I feel so badly for his wife! But at least he's at peace.
I was very sorry to hear about this.
