Face painters help create a special memory of living out a fantasy. Knowing the exact design that you want before sitting in the chair helps the process go smoother and faster. If you or your child is wanting to showcase a Patriotic style for the Fourth of July, choose something special to stand out from the rest of the "soldiers" waiting in line.

Camouflage Fun
The mainstay colors for camouflage face paint is olive, brown and black. This can be done in a simple way with all over concealing color and smudges under the eyes or can be done in an elaborate pattern of spots meant to mimic having to hide in the jungle. Other colors can be used to match your mood or personality, such as pink, purple and yellow on a little girl. Camouflage patterns vary widely between artists, so if is best to get an idea of how large or small of scale you want your design done in.

Classic American
Other Patriotic face paint ideas for the Fourth of July include choosing ones of a more general American nature. For example, have the American flag on your cheek with the word "Army" painted underneath it. Other options include soaring eagles or just a simple red, white and blue stars and stripes design. A verse from a favorite famous patriotic song, along with a few red, white and blue musical notes showcase a love for this country and music as well. Other options include having your whole face transformed into a representation of an eagle or a walking flag.

Hero Tribute
If the reason you want a Patriotic face paint design on the Fourth of July is because of a soldier that you love, the ideas are endless. Have his portrait painted on the side of your face, with his name and rank. Do a simple design of "I 'shape of a heart' My Soldier", with the heart in red, white and blue and her name printed inside of it. Have "Proud to be an Army Mom" on one side of your face and your son's division on the other. Other Patriotic face paint ideas to honor the hero in your life would be using simple words, such as "My Lover, My Wife, My Hero" with her name underneath.
