Holidays are fun on social networking sites like MySpace, and July 4^th is no exception. An easy and fast way to show your patriotic colors is to add a July 4^th themed background, layout or graphic to your personal MySpace page. It's a fast, fun, and inexpensive way to honor your country by displaying the red, white and blue.

The first thing you will need to do is find a website that offers free MySpace backgrounds, layouts, and graphics. All of these sites offer many types of 4^th of July backgrounds and graphics, from sparkly to formal, animated to girly, and sexy to cute. Now you've picked your MySpace background, layout, or graphic, it's time to put it on your page. Here are the easy directions for making your MySpace page a patriotic 4^th of July winner:

Backgrounds and Layouts: Backgrounds and layouts for MySpace are installed basically the same way. Backgrounds add a background graphic to your MySpace page while layouts create a theme, changing the background, text, and accent colors. Adding either a new background or layout will not alter or change the information that you already have on your page.

Simply highlight the background or layout code and copy it by right-clicking and choosing "Copy."

Go to your MySpace page and choose "Edit Profile" from the menu on the left-hand side of the page. Choose one of the boxes, such as: "About Me" or "I'd Like to Meet" and paste your code. Click "Save All Changes" at the top of the page and your finished!

Graphics: Unlike MySpace backgrounds or layout, graphics for your MySpace page won't change your entire page; graphics will simply add a picture wherever you want it.

Simply highlight the graphic code and copy it by right-clicking and choosing "Copy."
