Now, you need to buy some small American flags made from cloth. These should be slightly smaller than the front of your white wedding invitation cards.

Use card stock or thick heavy wedding invitation cards as the basis because you will need sturdy cards to hold your American flags.

If you are having trouble finding small cloth American flags locally you do have a few options. Look online to buy bulk quantities of American Flags. I recommend a size that is about 3 inches by 4inches. You can buy these in bulk to save large money at a wedding as well.

Now, your other option is to buy some fabric that has a large amount of American flags printed on them. Use some sharp scissors or pinking sheers to cut the American flags out. Now, use some no fray on the edges to present fraying.

Ok, so now you are ready to start making your patriotic American flag wedding invitations.

Open up the card.

Lay the small American flag on top. Center it on the wedding invitation and tape it in place with some low tack masking tape or painter's tape.

Now, use your gold thread and needle to sew each corn or the tiny flag to the wedding invitation. You will be able to see your thread, so you need to make it look cute.

I remounted sewing each corner on in a small X motion, a tiny X to tack each corner on.

Repeat this step on each corner of the wedding invitation.

To finish trim off ay loose thread and insert into a plain white or even a gold envelope. Seal the patriotic wedding invitation with an American flag sticker.

Tip: You will want to print any wedding information inside before you attach the small American flags! The flags will make it impossible to run the finished wedding invitations through any type of printing devise.

If you are having a large wedding and these patriotic wedding invitations seem a little time consuming, then here are some more tips:

Use clear glue to tack each corner of the flag down. Very quick and easy!

Have your bridesmaids and grooms help!! Now that is always the best way to finish something for your wedding fast!
