Patriots to Honor 14-Year-Old Anna Grant

The Boo'ing of 14 Year Old Girl

Patriots to honor 14-year-old Anna Grant: In Sunday's Game at the RCA dome, the Chargers vs. the Colts; there was a pre-planned celebration for the national pass, punt, and kick contest champions. These were kids who have had tons of competition and came out of the competition on top. It was only right for the NFL to recognize the achievements of these kids and what they were able to accomplish with the vast amount of competition they face nationwide.

The people in Indianapolis were cheering for every child as the announcer read off their name. One by one, the crowd would cheer for each kid winning their age group of the Pass, punt, and kick contest. This would all change when the announcer announced the name of Anna Grant. When they announcer said her name; there would be some boo's. At first, it may be perplexing on how a huge crowd can boo a 14 year old girl for her accomplishments, however, if one were to look closely they would see that the girl was wearing a Patriot jersey; the heated rivals of the Indianapolis Colts.

The Patriots and the Colts play on an almost yearly basis; whether is the regular season, afc championship, and they have been dominating the AFC for nearly the whole decade. Many Colts fans quickly approved the boo'ing of the 14 year old girl, while the others felt that it was unnecessary to do such a thing simply because she was wearing the jersey of their heated rivals.

Anna Grant actually wasn't too phased, in fact, she probably didn't even take it personally. She was perfectly aware of why the fans were boo'ing her, and seemed to take it all in. Since the incident, she has been interviewed by ESPN and several local radio stations as well. She doesn't seem too hurt by the incident, at all.

Others didn't feel the same way however; owner Robert Kraft quotes, "Why should a champion be booed?" - "She supposed to be honored". Many people feel the same way as Robert Kraft, and feels the girl deserves to have a legitimate honorary ceremony recognizing her achievements in the nationwide pass, punt, and kick contest.

The Patriots will justly honor her achievements in the AFC championship game vs. the Chargers on Sunday right before the coin toss. She will probably receive a standing ovation and a recognition for her achievements and earn the true and respect she truly deserves.

They sound like a bunch of low-lifes that booed her. Poor girl.
