Patriots Offensive Line Injury Woes Mean Trouble for Their 2010 Season

MVP Quarterback Tom Brady does have something to worry about as the 2010 NFL season is but one month away, and any uncertainty about how well he will be protected leaves the Patriots adversaries licking their chops. The 2010 mini camp and start of the pre-season has not been kind to the New England Patriots offensive lineman as they have been dealing with injuries since the 2009 season.

Even though Tom Brady is captain cool - he cannot afford to undergo as many sacks as he did in 2009, and this will undoubtedly be in the back of his mind as the Patriots have a demanding schedule, and Coach Bill Belichick knows very well he does not want a repeat of the 2008 season.

It was apparent to New England Patriot fans that their 2009 offensive line was no where as good nor consistent concerning their talent, depth, and playmaking abilities, as many of their veterans retired or moved on to greener pastures.

The 2010 schedule give the Patriots no reprieve as they face many defenses that have the ability to bring a bouquet of misery to QB Tom Brady. The Patriots must face four teams that have been under construction during the last three years, and these teams will present a major problem for the Patriots depleted offensive line.

If the Patriots offensive line cannot provide adequate protection for Tom Brady, it may be a season that he would rather soon forget.
