Paul Bunyan Land is located Brainerd Minnesota. Paul Bunyan Land is very similar to a small country fair but with permanent rides. The rides are studier and long lasting unlike the rides you see at fairs. While these are clearly permanent rides there are no big budget rides here.
Paul Bunyan Land is cheaper then most theme parks costing only $15 for children 2-17 and oddly 18 and over is actually cheaper at $13. Besides rides there is a entire small old fashioned village with a church, general store, school, and more. You can actually go into the buildings and they are all set up to be period specific. The buildings themselves are mostly authentic older buildings that have been moved to Paul Bunyan Land. During the Holiday season the town is decorated for the Holidays.
As for the rides most are kiddie rides like a merry go round, motorcycles, kiddies canoes, and other rides for kids. There are a few small thrill rides like a small roller coaster. They have bumper cars which are popular. There is a small train that kids and adults can enjoy together. The Tilt-a-Whirl is popular. In all they have around 20 rides.
Besides the rides they have some attractions including a haunted house which I would consider a ride but they dont. You can get an "old tyme photo "taken. You can also tour a small mine. There are many little attractions here to see.
Overall there are lots of fun things to see and do at Paul Bunyan Land. It is a shame there are not more places like this around the country.
