Paul Hogan: Unable to Leave Down Under
Paul Hogan Apparently Has Some Tax Issues Keeping Him in Australia
The beloved crocodile explorer who once conquered New York AND wildlife is being kept in his home country until his tax issues can be resolved. Now get this-- The taxes are in the multimillions of dollars, and he's not allowed back into the United States without it being paid completely in full.
Of course Paul is a lot different then his cinematic onscreen counterpart Crocodile Dundee, but I'm still betting that the man will pull something out of his crocodile bitten bum to set things straight. Besides, if he's been spending his finances in an intelligent way since the crocodile movies, then he shouldn't have too much to worry about. I mean, when you look at Nicolas Cage, that man is millions of dollars into the hole, yet he can still pull himself out with the mass amount of movie role work that he's been offered and/or is planning to do.
It all began for Paul when he returned to Australia to attend his mothers funeral, a vibrant woman who lived to be 101 years of age. Paul, who is 70 himself, was then stopped before boarding a plane back into the states, and told that he can either pay his $30-some-million dollar tax bill, or make arrangements to have it cleared before he would be able to board a flight once more.
Hogan is fighting back, telling Australia that he's disappointed in his own native country for treating him like a risk, or a threat. His American wife Linda Kozlowski and his 12 year old son Chance are both back in California and are also disappointed that the knife wielding actor will not be able to return home until everything is straightened out across the tax issues.
Currently Hogan doesn't have the amount to pay that they claim he owes to the Australian government, but don't think that our crocodile wrestling front man is going to let that stop him from getting back to his family. Maybe this calls for another Dundee sequel!
