Paul McCartney Says, "I Will NOT Retire!"

Ex-Beatles Squelches Retirement Rumors

Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney has dismissed recent reports that he'll retire after his next tour in 2010.

Sir Paul was allegedly planning a set of concerts at various stops around the world before making his retirement from touring official.

According to tabloid reports, he was slating 2010 tour stops at China's famous Tiananmen Square - the site of the famous violent protests - and Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, Germany - the crossing point of the Berlin Wall when the country was divided during the Cold War.

But much to the delight of fans, the legendary superstar has squelched all such rumors, saying that he'll continuing performing live shows as long as he is able.

Paul says, "All I can say is that I'm not retiring. It's like 'Paul is dead'. 'No, I'm not,' is all I could say. I did talk about retirement in one sentence in one story and only to say 'No way, Jose.' But someone must have only read part of that one sentence.

"As long as people want to come and hear me, I'll probably be doing this. It's just so easy to start rumors."

The ex-Fab has had a busier than expected 2009 with recent tour dates at FedEx Field in Landover, MD, Citi Field in NY, Flushing, the Commons in Halifax, NS, Canada, the Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas, NV, Coachella Music Festival in Indio, CA, Radio City Music Hall in NY, NY and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA,
